The Corporación para el Desarrollo Empresarial y Cultural de la Isleta de San Juan (CODEVISA) is a special municipal development entity, established under the provisions of the “Law of Autonomous Municipalities of Puerto Rico.” CODEVISA is a nonprofit corporation with legal personality independent from the Municipality of San Juan, although it has worked closely with the Municipality since its founding in 1986. Our services are aligned with the Municipality 's socioeconomic development objectives, with a particular focus on the Isleta de San Juan. Today, CODEVISA is the only special entity operating within the Municipality of San Juan.

CODEVISA was founded by a group of private-sector individuals with the support of the Municipality and began operations on September 1, 1986, registering with the Puerto Rico Department of State in December of the same year. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors composed of twelve members representing diverse sectors, including commercial, residential, governmental, and public interests.

At CODEVISA, we put all our energy into supporting you. How? In many ways. From assisting you with your Outdoor Café/Kiosk application, guiding you on the necessary documents, providing transportation with our fleet of vehicles, and soon, offering support for your business operations through training programs. As you can see, we can support you in various ways with one sole purpose: to help you achieve your goals. Why? The answer is simple: that was the vision of the group of pioneers who founded our organization.

To carry out our operations, CODEVISA has an organizational structure divided into several areas: Administration, Events, Business Support, and Transportation. Each of these areas is supported by professionals in administrative consulting, organizational development, and financial management.

Many years have passed since December 1985 when our organization was officially established, yet our commitment to the Isleta de San Juan remains as strong as on day one. This commitment is unwavering, and without our employees, it would have been impossible to support every merchant in the Isleta. To each and every one of them THANK YOU!
